BWAY TOONS!
BWay Toons are animated characters, music videos, shorts, shows, series, and movies created and/or animated and directed by Chris “Broadway” Romero.
They are original characters, as well as animated alter egos of your favorite artists and celebrities.
They come in a few different looks, and are created in several production styles.
2DTOONS are hand drawn comic book, cartoon, or anime style characters and are popular for animated covers and animated music videos. They are designed in house or sometimes are animated in collaboration with other illustrators.
3DTOONS are 3D modeled characters rendered in a 3D environment with a TOON SHADER to simulate a hand drawn style.
2DTOONS and 3DTOONS can exist in the same videos.
These colorful characters come alive on the Creative Block and drop their hottest new tracks and get into all kinds of adventures!
3D TOONS
3D Toons are modeled, animated, and rendered in 3 dimensional space, giving you a cinematic feel.
Chris uses a unique 3D software production pipeline to achieve a high end, graffiti and comic book inspired look backed by the knowledge and experience of years of short film, commercial, and video game cut scene production.
Each character is built on a modular framework.
Once the main character is created, it can be further modified and styled for more productions, and can be ported into real time animation systems.
BWay’s 3DToons have been in existence since the late 90’s, most famously in videos like Big Pun’s “How We Roll,” G Unit’s “My Buddy,” and 50 Cent’s “Piggy Bank.”

2d toons
2DToons are hand drawn, illustrated characters that are animated with 2D animation software.
Chris usually combines these animated illustrations with abstract backgrounds for a “motion cover” type visual, or brings them fully into 3D environments that are similar to styles seen in shows like “Archer” or “World of Gumball.”
Chris can also animate your existing 2D artwork, turning a drawing into a fully animated cartoon! He has collaborated with some of the best illustrators in the game to bring these awesome characters to life.
